With her combined appreciation of architecture, carefully curated interiors, and her unique background in real estate, Abigail Kahan delivers her clients an unparalleled experience. Mentored by her father from a young age, Abigail had a first-hand view into the complexity of her family’s successful real estate firm that now spans three generations. She learned the intricacies of creating budgets, project management, design, construction oversight, marketing, and negotiating from an industry leader. These skills, combined with an innate talent and a strong influence from her many travels to the design capitals of Europe, naturally led Abigail to pursue advanced studies in architecture and design. She is a proud graduate of the Academy of Art University, renowned as one of the most prestigious design schools in the United States. She truly feels lucky to have been surrounded, educated, and mentored by various talents and notable thought leaders in the field.
Abigail is committed to a highly personalized experience for her clients with a belief that creating a beautiful space can and should be joyous. It is important to her that her clients feel inspired rather than intimidated by the creative process of design. Abigail helps her clients articulate what they love and guides them through development of the vision for the space. She believes that great design is as much about process as it is about the final result. She takes a holistic approach—blending interiors, architecture, and thoughtful planning—while introducing clients to fresh ideas, materials, and possibilities along the way. Her work pairs unexpected finishes and refined layouts with a commitment to strong architectural foundations, resulting in spaces that feel elegant, distinct, and deeply considered.

Devorah
Director of Operations
Devorah has been the heartbeat of the Abigail Kahan experience since the very beginning. With a professional relationship built on the back of a lifelong friendship with Abigail, she is the organizer who makes the magic happen, managing contracts and HR responsibilities and overseeing the many logistics involved in every project. Her no-nonsense approach is balanced with a deep respect for clients, ensuring that they receive the attention they deserve while the team remains focused on delivering seamless perfection. Devorah holds a BA and MS from Nova Southeastern University.

Senior Interior Designer
With a prominent pedigree and over 12 years of hands-on experience, along with mentorship from some of the biggest names in the industry, Clark brings a refreshing blend of artistry and precision to every project. He is the go-to for constructing the identity of any space; designing, teaching, delegating, and ensuring that every detail aligns with the firm’s — and every client’s — highest standards. Clark holds an AAS in Interior Design from the Art Institute of New York City.

Daniel
Product Designer
As lead product designer, Daniel brings an advanced approach to product design and selection, one rooted in artistry and honed by a decade of industry experience. Forward-thinking and solution-oriented, he pushes boundaries with a rare fluency in materials — understanding how their form and function shape both aesthetic and experience. Daniel’s robust expertise spans the worlds of art, fashion, sculpture, styling, and technology, giving him a multidimensional perspective that informs every piece he creates. He plays a defining role in shaping the firm’s custom furniture line, Artiis, where quality, craft, and originality converge. Daniel holds a degree in Fine Arts with a focus on sculpture from Pratt Institute.

Mishkin
Architectural Designer
Mishkin’s journey to a prestigious position at Abigail Kahan is steeped in experience, inspired architectural skills, and meticulous attention to detail. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Mumbai, India, and later completed his Master’s in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design. His professional journey spans projects across the United States, Europe, and India, giving him a truly global perspective on design.
Throughout his career, Mishkin has received multiple accolades — including the Best of Best award from the Architecture MasterPrize — recognizing his work at an international level.
Working closely with the team, Mishkin ensures that every design element fits seamlessly into its space and functions flawlessly for its intended use. His technical precision ensures Abigail’s bold concepts come to life with striking accuracy. Having worked with firms rooted in both contemporary modernism and classical architecture, Mishkin has developed a deep appreciation and skill for navigating both design worlds. This duality has shaped his approach — one that values thoughtful contrast, timeless beauty, and the constant exploration of new ideas.

Director of Marketing
Leora shares Abigail’s creativity and passion for design. Literally. As sisters, they grew up surrounded by an innate appreciation for beauty, which now fuels Leora’s work shaping the AK brand. In this hyper-competitive and fast-paced field, her many responsibilities, both internal and public-facing, play a key role in the firm’s success. She thrives on the challenges presented in staying ahead of this ever-evolving niche market, and has risen to become an integral part of the Abigail Kahan story. Her passion for this line of work led her to earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and an MBA.
