From the outset, this residence embraced a distinctive identity, shaped by the husband’s vision for a timeless European-inspired exterior with arched windows, limestone details, and a dramatic porte-cochère—while the wife leaned toward a more contemporary American aesthetic for the interiors.

To bridge this contrast, we layered rich textures and materials, incorporating classic paneling, bold hardware choices, and deep walnut-framed openings that defined key spaces like the foyer, butler’s pantry, and kitchen. Hearty stone elements, vintage furnishings, and a mix of bold colors brought depth and warmth, creating a blend of old-world charm and modern sensibility. The design found its boldest expression in the dining room, where the first defining influence emerged – vibrant red chairs that set the tone for a home both timeless and daring.
